Study Gauges Effectiveness of Urban Stormwater Pipe Networks
A South Korean study evaluated urban stormwater pipe network structures in terms of the relationship between peak rainfall and runoff. Researchers concluded, among other things, that looped networks implemented with affordable budgets are superior and, more generally, that network complexity is a crucial factor in reducing the risk of flooding.
