PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – On April 17, Prairie View A&M University and Chancellor John Sharp of The Texas A&M University System will officially announce the launch of PVAMU’s National Center for Infrastructure Transformation. PVAMU is the first Historically Black College/University to lead a national University Transportation Center.

The NCIT’s mission as a national-tier UTC will focus on improving the durability and extending the life of transportation infrastructure through its research, education, and technology transfer programs.

PVAMU leads NCIT as part of a consortium including several members of The Texas A&M University System, including Texas A&M University, Texas A&M Transportation Institute and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station. Partnering institutions include Arizona State University, Michigan State University, Rutgers University, and Blinn College.
