Miyamoto Expands to Central Asia: Uzbekistan
Long-time partner of Miyamoto, Dr. Shakhzod Takhirov, will be the Principal for Miyamoto’s newest office, located in the capital city of Tashkent.

Miyamoto International and Great Silk Road Technologies, LLC have joined together to bring global expertise to Uzbekistan. Miyamoto Uzbekistan will offer expert structural engineering, disaster management and risk mitigation consultation to international agencies and public/private sectors throughout Central Asia, a region that is highly exposed to natural hazards.

Dr. Shakhzod Takhirov has over 36 years of experience in engineering on a world-class level as well as experience in analysis, developing novel monitoring technologies, management, and providing direction for multiple complex projects in the U.S. and Uzbekistan. Dr. Shakhzod earned his Ph.D. from Lomonosov Moscow State University.

This partnership combines decades of expertise in the U.S. and Uzbekistan with Miyamoto’s global portfolio of project experience in education, healthcare, public, industrial, hospitality, high-rise, lifeline, transportation and commercial facilities.
