The Steel Joist Institute (SJI) has released the new Joist Girder Analysis Tool. The new design tool assists the structural engineer of record (SER) in determining the strength of each member with existing Joist Girders. The tool is applicable for G or VG type joist girders, which may be symmetrical or unsymmetrical at the ends.

If strengthening of some members is required, it is suggested that the Joist and Joist Girder Reinforcement Tool be downloaded to assist in designing required reinforcement.
