It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of Clyde Baker, who passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. Clyde was a friend and mentor to many and a true Geo-Legend.

 Clyde was a sincere champion for structural engineers and was heavily involved in SEAOI. Clyde served as SEAOI President (1992-1993) and received the John F. Parmer Award in 1995 and the SEAOI Service Award in 1990. Clyde was also a beloved instructor for SEAOI, presenting at dinner meetings and educational courses over the years.

 Clyde was a brilliant engineer, a kind and generous man, and someone we were always happy to see. He will be greatly missed.
