Brings full circularity, performance and economic advantages to formwork construction
LAS VEGAS, NV – March 3, 2026 – Doka, a global leader in formwork and scaffolding solutions, today unveiled Xlife top, the industry’s first formwork sheet engineered with a core made with 100% recycled plastic, marking a major advancement in the push toward circular construction. Designed for exceptional durability and multiple reuse cycles, each Xlife top sheet can be returned to Doka at the end of its life and reprocessed into new sheet cores, dramatically reducing waste and long-term material costs.
“Xlife top represents a fundamental shift in how formwork materials are designed, used and brought back into the material cycle,” said Michael Kennedy, executive vice president of Doka Americas and CEO of Doka USA. “Reducing greenhouse gas emissions on construction sites requires more than ambition; it requires smart product design. Xlife top is the result of our commitment to material innovation, modularity and refurbishment to extend the lifespan of every formwork component. With it, we’re proving that sustainability and performance no longer have to be trade-offs.”
Xlife top sheets are designed for seamless integration with the well-established Doka framed formwork systems and deliver unmatched quality, durability and cost savings.
Concrete Quality and Finish
Xlife top delivers consistent, high-quality concrete results across repeated uses. Its silk-matte, scratch-resistant surface produces smooth, uniform finishes without the staining or surface imperfections that are common with phenolic resin sheets. Because the sheet installs flush within the panel, it delivers a cleaner, more refined finish from the very first pour, reducing rework and ensuring reliable results on every cycle.
Durability and Cleaning
Xlife top’s advanced composite structure offers superior resistance to damage, extending its lifespan far beyond conventional formwork sheets. Crews can clean the surface quickly, even with high-pressure washers, reducing labor time and keeping equipment in rotation longer. Enhanced refurbishment options, including partial sheet replacement, result in lower maintenance and reconditioning costs.
