Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs Secures Bronze GOAL Medals for Pioneering Sustainability Leadership
From Pledges to Progress: Acrisure Arena Leads the Way in Sustainable Action
PALM SPRINGS, CA — Acrisure Arena, Greater Palm Springs' premier entertainment destination, continues to lead the charge in environmental sustainability, recently earning two prestigious Bronze Medals at the inaugural GOAL Venue & Event All Stars Awards Ceremony. This recognition underscores the arena’s groundbreaking commitment to reducing its environmental impact while setting a new standard for sustainability in the sports and entertainment world.
“These GOAL Medals symbolize more than just an accolade—they represent Acrisure Arena's unwavering commitment to pioneering sustainability in our industry,” said Phillip Ransford, Oak View Group’s Vice President of Operations of Acrisure Arena. “While we are proud of what we've accomplished so far, we recognize this is just the beginning. Our goal is to continue leading the way, pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and inspiring others to join us on this critical journey.”
Acrisure Arena’s achievements in sustainability leadership were brought to life through its comprehensive measurement and transparent reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and waste data. Over a 12-month period, the arena tracked and disclosed Scope 1 and Scope 2 building-related GHG emissions, while also extending accountability to Scope 3 emissions related to waste. Additionally, Acrisure Arena meticulously collected and documented waste metrics, spanning landfill, recycling, composting, and reuse totals—driving measurable progress toward reducing its environmental footprint.
The highly competitive GOAL Medals, awarded by GOAL, the global sustainability-driven membership network for sports and entertainment venues, honor trailblazing leadership across Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Acrisure Arena’s achievements affirm its role as a frontrunner in sustainability innovation, setting benchmarks for the industry while aligning perfectly with GOAL's pillars of measurable environmental impact, responsible reporting, and continuous improvement.
As Acrisure Arena advances its sustainability agenda, it remains deeply committed to driving meaningful change—not only for its guests and performers but for the entire Coachella Valley and beyond. This forward-thinking approach reflects the arena’s dedication to environmental stewardship, community well-being, and setting an example for the broader entertainment industry.
